Report: Dobson travels with the Patriots

Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson had a travel bag in his locker today.  And now he’s gonna use it.

According to Nick Underhill of MassLive.com, Dobson will travel to Colorado with the rest of the team.

The rookie second-round selection has been battling a foot injury.  He missed three regular-season games before playing in the final two.  Dobson aggravated the injury in Week 17, and he hasn’t played since.

Officially, Dobson is listed as questionable for the AFC title game against the Broncos.

Hopefully he wont get hurt again. If we just use him in the red zone then i think it will minimize risk and give tom a bigger target.

Good Brady needs his outside threat and honestly he’s come along quite nicely.

You know things are tough when you’re happy Dobson got on the plane.

Having a -WR after ones name is a big plus for NE.
Somebody will have to cover him.

Hide your kids, hide your wife! … Oh Aaron Dobson. I thought they said Antoine Dodson. Now that would be news.

First, Jamie Collins had his welcoming party. Now, it’s Dobson. Watch out. Dude is about to put Mile High down 5 miles below. Beast.

He must be a decent blocker.

He DID catch the winning TD with no time left vs New Orleans, so I’m happy about his return, if he can run.

Dobson got tossed out there early in the season as a primary receiver and like 99.5% of all rookie receivers has struggled to perform as well as he’s capable of.

He’s a big, tall, strong target and he got a bit of a vibe going with Brady later in the year. Not saying he’s the answer that means the Pats will win, but its not a bad thing if he’s active and plays.

Sorry Bob you must of been watching a different game. Thompkins caught that game winner!

@bunkerhillbob, uh…that was Kenbrell Thompkins. He wears 85. Dobson has 17.

Size and speed. An outside presence. With D. R. Cromarte stuck to Edleman and the ancient Champ Bailey running (very slowly, mind you) double over-under on Amendola with safety help, this kid is going to eat Jammers lunch all day. Folks, this is good news. Just remember what this kid did to the Steelers defensive backfield, and those guys are like all-pro’s compared to the chattle the Broncos are putting at corner.

Gonna be a shame when Peyton still can’t beat
    Brady even after stealing Welker!

I love how all the pundits keep saying that Brady has NOBODY besides Edelman and Amendola to throw the ball to. Hello, Brady can throw it to the waterboy if he needs to. He’s done it throughout his career. They forget that every catch Austin Collie has made has been for a first down. Then there’s Vereen, Hooman, KT and Dobs. It’s not Peyton’s all star army but it has been adequate to get them back to the AFC Championship Game.

Dang it all, they could have drafted Keenan Allen with the pick used for this guy.

His presence will have a major impact on the NE offense. Expect Tom to target him deep in the early going.

I stand corrected. Welcome back, Dobs.
