49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers started all 16 regular-season games in 2013. Now that he’s healthy to play after pulling a hamstring in Week 17 against the Cardinals, Rogers appears to be ready to play.

But he won’t be ready to start, because the 49ers appear to be ready to stick with the guys who have been getting it done in Rogers’ absence.

Via Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, Tarell Brown and Tramaine Brock will start on Sunday at Seattle. Rogers will play in the nickel package, covering the slot receiver.

“Coming off a hamstring injury, you never know how it will affect you,” Rogers said, via Branch. “I can feel fine right now and make one cut or make the wrong cut throughout a game, and there it goes again. So that’s how they want to work me in. It’s tough coming off the injury that I had and say you’re just going to play 65 or 70 snaps.”

Rogers reportedly split reps with Perrish Cox in the nickel package on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, Rogers handled all of the rep when the 49ers used three cornerbacks.
