49ers up 10-3 at halftime, keeping pressure on Seahawks

Russell Wilson, Aldon Smith AP

The Seahawks began to move a bit late in the half, but the 49ers are out to a 10-3 lead at halftime of the NFC Championship Game thanks  to a dominant defense.

Of course, the 49ers have outgained the Seahawks 128 yards to 126, so both sides are laying the hammer to each other pretty well.

The 49ers touchdown by Anthony Dixon appears to be a rare commodity today, and their ability to keep Colin Kaepernick on his feet is matched only by the pressure they’re putting on Russell Wilson.

Wilson’s hit a few downfield throws, but he’s been sacked four times already, and hasn’t been able to stitch enough plays together.

Whoever wins this game, however, is going to need the two-week break before the Super Bowl to recover from a physical war.

The 49ers ability to get pressure with their front four is making all of the difference. Aldon Smith in particular is playing like a one man wrecking crew.

The delusional, uneducated Seahawks fans are almost embarrassing to hear on TV, booing false start calls when they are correct… What a pathetic fanbase.

This whole team is based off of cheating: Pete Carroll has been a cheater his whole career, supplying this team with PEDs.

    Cheaters never prosper.

    Seattle sucks.

    0 Superbowls for life.

take the #12 flag down and put up a 5 or 6

  4. thepftpoet says: Jan 19, 2014 8:17 PM

Pete Carroll better start making some half time adjustments that don’t involve injecting more PEDs in their system.

That’s terrible clock mngmt by SF. If they call the TO promptly as they should to force a punt with max time in case they need it, then SEA won’t even try to score. SEA has a better chance to score with 1 shot to convert a 1st down on 27 seconds than SF has if they fail and have only 20 seconds to do it and from farther away. SF gave them that better tradeoff of options. And then with 20 seconds left all they needed was 30 yards to have a decent FG try. That’s only 1 or 2 passes and they wouldn’t even try. Terrible coaching on both sides of the ball by Harbaugh. They deserve to lose now.

Judging the calls from these Refs it is obvious…

    The FIX IS IN.

Russell Wilson needs to improve quickly if he thinks his Seahawks are going to any Super Bowl. He’s horrible, he can’t run, he can’t throw and the throws he’s made were “lucky”. I thought the Seahawks thought they were the best team out there??? Doesn’t look like it tonight. Kapernick over 100 yds rushing were is the defense???

Hey guys, I just wanted to give some props to Dre for those Beats commercials – they really speak to my soul.

I am in fact the man, the one that people are always complaining about – I’m happy to be able to drown out the voices of the little people as well.

    Thanks dawg.

Looks good for sf except all their yards came of defensive breakdowns. Seattle will not have defensive breakdowns all game .kaep can’t throw .. Eventually Seattle will take over because of this
