Aaron Dobson active, Kenbrell Thompkins inactive for Patriots

The Patriots got wide receiver Aaron Dobson back at practice this week and they’ll have him back in the lineup on Sunday.

Dobson is active for the AFC Championship Game after missing the divisional round win over the Colts with a foot injury. Kenbrell Thompkins was active for that win, but he’ll swap places with Dobson this time around. Thompkins suffered a concussion against Indianapolis and was limited in practices this week.

Neither Dobson nor any other Patriots receiver will have to worry about Broncos cornerback and former Patriot Marquice Cole using any inside information to stop them. Cole, signed after Chris Harris tore his ACL last week, is inactive for the game. Tight end Joel Dreessen, quarterback Zac Dysert, running back Ronnie Hillman, defensive tackle Sione Fua, tackle Vinston Painter and guard Chris Kuper are also inactive for Denver.

Offensive lineman Chris Barker, linebacker Steve Beauharnais, defensive end Jake Bequette, defensive lineman Isaac Sopoaga, tight end D.J. Williams and cornerback Justin Green round out the inactive list for the Patriots.
