Early turnover gives 49ers a quick 3-0 lead

Russell Wilson AP

We knew going into the NFC Championship Game that defenses were poised to dictate the game.

We didn’t know it was going to happen so quickly.

Aldon Smith forced and recovered a Russell Wilson fumble on the first snap of the game, giving the 49ers the ball at the Seahawks 15.

Predictably, the Seahawks held them to a field goal and a 3-0 lead, but it was still a shocking turn of events for the lathered-up home crowd. It was the first time all year the Seahawks have allowed a score on their opponents’ opening drive.

But the margin of error in this game figures to be so slim, that turnovers and field goals are like touchdowns when Peyton Manning’s playing, giving the 49ers an early advantage.

I don’t like the 49ers but I would love to see them completely shutdown Seattle so all those stupid hippies are left just sitting on their hands for the entire second half.

Not trying to be a wiseguy, but I don’t understand this sentence at all.

Don’t worry the real 12th man will help Seattle come back. The refs are already flag happy against the 49rs. Godell decideda long time ago that it will be good for the NFL if a team in the northwest was in the superbowl.

We hit hard… Once again call a bogus penalty… I love it… Just gets them more pissed!

    Go Niners!!!

29-3 victory by Seattle was 5-3 at half.

The “author” is insinuating that touchdowns will be in short supply. Meaning when gold is short the price of silver rises.

Luckiest bounce I’ve ever seen on the muffed punt by James.

Seattle is DONE. They have no answer for Kap. The only people who don’t know this yet are the fans.

  11. leatherface2012 says: Jan 19, 2014 7:25 PM

kap has 10x the rushing yards that seattle has. forget it 12th man, you might as well head to your cars in the parking lot

Anyone else HATE the stupid Subway “Janu-any” commercials? Not only is it an obnoxiously obvious and stupid play-on-words, but it’s so damn tired and overplayed. Oh, and the jingle just plain sucks.

That was clearly a hit to the head ,the announcer was impartial on the calling it bad . Two different angles one shows a upper shoulder pad hit and the other shows the actual head of the RECIEVER getting hit . Uhhh duh it’s a hit to the head pretty obvious

All the weeks of trash talking about the whiners, and how over rated Kaepernick is… Win or lose, it’s time to show some respect.

  22. thepftpoet says: Jan 19, 2014 7:34 PM

The 12th woman is seeing how much of a fluke their team is.

But hey, at least you have still have the loudest stadium!

    Hahahahahaha… Clowns!!!

  23. allidoiswin55 says: Jan 19, 2014 7:34 PM

  24. adderal says: Jan 19, 2014 7:34 PM

Looking like a long winter for Seattle. You need to have a offense in championship games. Crowds can’t win the big games

  25. pgilbert2013 says: Jan 19, 2014 7:46 PM

Still early… I’m old school we celebrate when the whistle blows.

I know we’ve had to endure so much verbal tripe from the boys up North…

Lets kick some second half hind-end and get home!

    Go Niners!

  26. kkalama1 says: Jan 19, 2014 7:47 PM

Kaps run only came off of Shermans hold that got them an automatic first down and your fg came out off Wilson’s fumble. Seattle is beating themselves

  27. beastmode5150 says: Jan 19, 2014 7:47 PM

    Kap is a good RB.

  28. cwk22 says: Jan 19, 2014 7:58 PM
