The 49ers and Seahawks are playing a game that resembles trench warfare, and the attrition is hitting both sides.

For the 49ers, left guard Mike Iupati is questionable to return with an ankle injury, after being taken to the locker room for X-rays. He was caught in a pile on Anthony Dixon’s touchdown run, and had to be helped off the field.

Veteran Adam Snyder has replaced Iupati in the lineup.

For the Seahawks, wide receiver Doug Baldwin was announced as being questionable to return with a hip injury after hauling in a 58-yard pass that helped the Seahawks scare up a field goal, which cut the lead to 10-3.

UPDATE 7:53 p.m. ET: Baldwin has returned to the game for the Seahawks, but Iupati will not return.

Thank Sherman for your 49ers automatic 1st down and td drive. It would be tied otherwise

Adam Snyder is a better pass blocker than iupati. Now the Niners need to pass the ball, especially on 1st down. I’ve seen enough of gore for 1 yard on 1st.
