Percy Harvin returns to practice for Seahawks

Harvin AP

The Seahawks have moved a big step closer to having receiver Percy Harvin available for Super Bowl XLVIII.

Harvin, concussed 11 days ago against the Saints in the divisional round, was cleared to practice and indeed practiced on Wednesday, via our own Curtis Crabtree (who also works for KJR radio).

Harvin still must be cleared to play, but with 11 days to go until the next game, there should be no issues.  Indeed, we’ve heard from a league source that Harvin fully intends and expects to play.

If he does, it’ll be only his third game appearance of the year.  But it’ll come in the biggest game of them all.

By far.

Guy can’t stay healthy. Tired of people overrating him. I’m sure a migraine will keep him from Super Bowl.

First hit he takes, he’s done.

A welcome addition to an already very very talented team.

well they’re basically paying him 2.5 mil for one game this year, but id say it’s one game worth paying for

  7. ickky says: Jan 22, 2014 6:51 PM

I’d expect a fumble or two.

  8. osiris33 says: Jan 22, 2014 6:52 PM

He will blow past the Broncos defenders.

He is really good, but man does he miss a lot of games.

  14. sterilizecromartie says: Jan 22, 2014 7:08 PM

Forgot he was on the team.

  15. tvjules says: Jan 22, 2014 7:13 PM

Better make it count, Percy Glass.

  16. thecrimsoneye says: Jan 22, 2014 7:17 PM

He’ll probably be ok for the game as it’s not going to be as loud as in Seattle. The noise in Seattle makes him shatter.

  17. FlashPatterson says: Jan 22, 2014 7:33 PM

UPDATE: Percy Harvin injured again. Pete Carrol thinks he’ll play.

  18. thepvyharvin says: Jan 22, 2014 7:35 PM

Vikings really fleeced Seattle on this guy! Percy couldn’t hold Pattersons jock! Thanks for the draft picks knuckleheads!!

  19. gbfanforever says: Jan 22, 2014 7:48 PM

Here’s the question, do you really trust the ball in the hands of a player who has been tackled exactly once in the last year?

  20. gergie1957 says: Jan 22, 2014 7:59 PM

Percy Harvin, the one hit wonder.

  21. backdapack4evr says: Jan 22, 2014 8:12 PM

    China doll > Percy migraine

  22. backdapack4evr says: Jan 22, 2014 8:14 PM

If the hawks win the SB I hope someone keeps Percy off the stage, I would hate to see him get hurt walking up the steps.

  23. realitycheckbaby says: Jan 22, 2014 8:23 PM

Broncos in trouble. PH stretches the defense which means BEAST MODE.

    Cordarrelle Patterson.

  25. georgiefan says: Jan 22, 2014 8:51 PM

Percy shouldn’t play!!! He has done nothing too earn this trip!!!

By this reasoning, everyone who is a backup shouldn’t play either. Good logic.

This guy just doesn’t quit. LOL!

  27. dennisatunity says: Jan 22, 2014 9:02 PM

News Flash! This just in, Percy Harvin is not going to play in the Super Bowl because he discovered a booger in his right nostril.

  35. hawkstradamus says: Jan 23, 2014 2:09 AM

What does vegas have him at for MVP.

  36. stepheninportland says: Jan 23, 2014 2:56 AM

Maybe we should ask Denver’s defensive coordinator if he wants him to play.

  37. jimmyt says: Jan 23, 2014 6:53 AM

This guy just laughs hysterically when he looks at his paycheck.

  38. GenoAtkinswillnotbestopped says: Jan 23, 2014 7:19 AM

He’ll be injured in practice, and won’t play in the Super Bowl.

  39. hoppylegs says: Jan 23, 2014 1:26 PM

He shouldn’t be allowed to play. Or Richard Sherman, for that matter. Or Marshawn Lynch. Basically, anyone who could help Seattle win and who isn’t a perfect person should be forced to miss the game so Manning can get his 2nd ring. Or better yet, vacate the Seahawks’ Super Bowl spot entirely and give it to the Niners, based on that missed penalty call and the fumble non-call. Yeah, that seems fair.
