The Cowboys are planning to have Dan Bailey as their kicker for years to come.

Bailey has signed a contract through the 2020 season that will pay him an average of more than $3 million a season, the team’s website reports.

The 25-year-old Bailey, who has played all three of his NFL seasons in Dallas, was set to become a restricted free agent. The Cowboys’ front office had said it was confident a new deal would get done before the start of free agency.

Bailey was fourth in the league in field goal percentage last season, making 28 of his 30 attempts with a long of 53 yards. He’s also strong on kickoffs, with 52 of his 93 kicks going for touchbacks, a 55.9 percent rage that was good for 10th in the league.
