Lynch, Baldwin miss practice again

AP

Two players who accounted for more than two thirds of the Seahawks’ entire offensive production in the NFC title game have missed the first two days of practice in advance of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Running back Marshawn Lynch, who rushed for 109 yards against the 49ers, and receiver Doug Baldwin, who generated 106 receiving yards, have missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Lynch has a knee injury, and Baldwin is battling a hip pointer.

According to the team’s official injury report, defensive lineman Brandon Mebane returned to practice today with an ankle injury.  He participated on a limited basis.

Receiver Percy Harvin (concussion) participated fully in practice, and that’s the extent of the team’s current injury list.

  1. How can Sherman play such good D when he is weighted down. When he speaks it sounds like he has marbles in his mouth

  2. Seattle will kick Bronco butt! Of course I am sure the NFL will try to put the screws to the Hawks.

  3. Just get some more PEDS to these guys and they will be fine. We are Seattle and the rules apply to the other 31 teams. That is how we roll and :DON”T TALK ABOUT US !!!!!!!!

  4. Manning better check his portable commode
because the only ring he will have is a toilet bowl RING.

Manning may want to check his collar while he’s at it.

  5. Lynch misses practice nearly every Wednesday during a game week, so do expect him to practice this week. He is 100% to play and no more banged up than he was last week.

Baldwin had a hip pointer he played through, so I expect this is just rest. He likely will be back next week.

  6. Ahhh crap and the super bowl is tom…oh wait…it’s over a week away -_-.

Non-issue. This is the typical Beast Mode schedule. When you run like he does…you ain’t gonna practice much. It’d take far more than man is capable of to keep him or Angry Doug Baldwin out of the big game.

  7. What’s with the article claiming Baldwin & Lynch make up 2/3rds of Seattle’s offense?
Last week, Richard Sherman had established he was the entire team.

  8. Business as usual for Lynch. Baldwin will likewise be fully ready for next week – he actually came back into the game and played well after the injury took place.

This actually may be the healthiest the Seahawks have been all season.

  9. Manning is great. Too bad he’s never had a defense or running game.

Manning will have 3+ TOs and Seattle will win by double digits despite refs trying to screw them.

Seattle is tougher, faster and other than Manning, smarter.

  10. One Seahawk player tested positive for Adderal, which isn’t even a banned substance in the NFL, and these know nothing haters have elevated that to the whole team are users. Hey if that’s the excuse you feel that you have to use to justify your own teams’ shortcomings, have at it. We know the truth of it, and you only make yourselves look ignorant with your assertions.

For those who can’t like the Hawks in the SB, because of Sherman, that’s okay too. I remember when I was the ONLY Seahawks fan at most websites. Didn’t need you then, sure don’t need you now.

  11. I wouldn’t be surprised if Percy Harvin is superbowl MVP. He has that kind of talent and will be as healthy and motivated as he has been in years. It will be a fun game to watch.

  12. The comment about Sherman not speaking clearly as if he had marbles in his mouth? His speech is perfectly clear. It was very clear how he feels about Crabtree. Side note, although I am a Hawks Fan I was very impressed with Kap. His running ability is great. The LB corp is amazing. I wish the Bay Area community would show Seattle some respect. It’s one thing to like your team it’s another to insult a fan base.

  13. Thursday night
The Denver money is mostly in now. Starting Friday night the Seahawks money will start to come in. Seattle will be the favorite by Monday morning.

  14. Lynch takes so much punishment during the games they have been holding him out of contact for several weeks. He needs time for his body to rest. When the games starts he will be there. The Hawks are going to be healthier for the Super Bowl than for any other game this year.

  15. Denver is strong on offense & will score about every time they get the ball.. denver will win this game big. Im saying denver wins by score of 42 to 10. Possibly 45 to 3 or even 55 to 6. Denver will cover that 2.5 point spread easy. I can’t believe denver isn’t favored by at least 9 points..seattle is not playing at home in the kingdom..this has blowout written all over it. & Denver’s defense shut down the powerful offense of patriots. That says alot.. this could even b biggest blowout margin in super bowl history. It will b “raining in seattle” when they get home next sun night. denver wins big. Im going to predict denver wins 45 to 6 haha

  17. I imagine the Hawks are going to get spanked and humiliated by Peyton but that’s OK. The coach and more than a few of their players (and fans) need that treatment.
