Russell Wilson went to Terry Bradshaw for Super Bowl advice

Ordinarily, after a big game it’s a broadcaster who asks questions of a star player. But after the NFC Championship Game, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had a question for FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw.

As shown on Inside the NFL, Wilson sought out Bradshaw during the post-game ceremony to ask the four-time Super Bowl winner for some advice.

“I’ve got a question for you: What do we need to do to win it, that’s different? What makes you win it?” Wilson asked Bradshaw.

“You’ve got to be really cool,” Bradshaw answered. “Don’t let the moment catch up with you. You’ve got to play the game down. If you build it up, it’s so important you’ll screw it up and you won’t play well. It’s not just another game, believe me, but you can make it one, just be cool.”

Wilson answered that with, “Yes, sir.”

Whether Wilson joins Bradshaw as a Super Bowl-winning quarterback remains to be seen. But the fact that Wilson had the presence of mind to seek advice about the next game, rather than simply celebrate the game he’d just won, is a very good sign that Wilson has a very good future ahead of him.
