Lions hire Robert Prince to coach wide receivers

New Lions coach Jim Caldwell is dipping into the college ranks to fill his coaching staff.

According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, the Lions are hiring Robert Prince as their new wide receivers coach.

He previously worked with the Falcons, Jaguars, and Seahawks, but Prince was most recently the offensive coordinator at Boise State.

He’s also worked with the 49ers and Chargers as part of the league’s minority coaching internship program.

Gotta admit, I’m real optimistic about Caldwell’s staff. IMO, there has been nothing to not like. For the sakes of this long suffering fan base, I hope it pans out.

    Go Lions!

The staff now reflects the same potential as the talent on the field.

Now they need to draft some secondary help and develop them. Once we transform the weakest part of the team into a league average unit, I will believe.

He was the OC when they started losing multiple games, after Moore graduated. He’ll be fine as a position coach, though.
