South wins Senior Bowl 20-10

Sparked by strong defense and TD passes from Fresno State’s Derek Carr and San Jose State’s David Fales, the South rolled to a 20-10 victory in Saturday’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

Fales threw for a game-high 104 yards on 6-of-7 passing, per the ESPN boxscore of the game, including a 24-yard second-quarter scoring strike to Alabama’s Kevin Norwood in which he rolled right and threw on the run.

Auburn defensive end/outside linebacker Dee Ford notched two sacks for the South defense and earned game MVP honors. In victory, the South intercepted North quarterbacks three times.

Wisconsin tailback James White rushed for a game-high 61 yards and scored the North’s lone touchdown in the fourth quarter.
