It looks like the pieces are all in place for Gary Kubiak to become the next offensive coordinator of the Ravens.

The team has announced that coach John Harbaugh will make an announcement regarding the position on Monday afternoon and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that he’ll be naming Kubiak as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Per Rapoport, it is unclear if there will be other staff changes but a report out of Baltimore on Monday morning indicated that Kubiak is lining up an offensive staff that would mean further alterations to Harbaugh’s staff. The Ravens have also spoken to Kyle Shanahan and Rick Dennison in recent days, both of whom have served as offensive coordinators in the past and who share Kubiak’s history as an assistant under Mike Shanahan.

The same report about Kubiak’s staff came with a note that the decision to go for Kubiak was driven more by owner Steve Bisciotti and General Manager Ozzie Newsome than by Harbaugh. It seems we’ll find out Harbaugh’s public feelings about them, along with just how many changes are being made in Baltimore, sooner rather than later.
