The Raiders have brought in the reigning Grey Cup MVP for a workout.

According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Kory Sheets went through a workout with Oakland on Tuesday.

Via SilverandBlackPride.com, Sheets posted a picture of him entering Raiders headquarters on Instagram.

The 27-year-old Sheets rushed for 1,598 yards in 2013, second-most in the Canadian Football League. He rushed for 197 yards in the Roughriders’ 45-23 win vs. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in November’s Grey Cup game.

Before joining the Roughriders in 2012, Sheets (5-11, 208) had NFL stints with the 49ers, Dolphins and Panthers. He worked out for the Colts in December.

Raiders: 3 years away from being 3 years away.

now the fun begins…the next chapter is about to be written, and they have about 70 million ways to write it. GO Reggie, Go Raiders!

Clay Davis is a big fan of Corey Sheeeeets.

I remember him at Purdue, he was good there. Hey, for what they got out of Rashad Jennings…and did NOT get out of Darren McFadden? I have no problem raiding the bargain bin again and leaving the dollars to bolster both lines.

    Boiler up!

He’s good, but he’s not even the best RB in the CFL (John Cornish is).

I remember him playing with the 9ers. Had promise at running but couldn’t block the blitz at all. Miami picked him up and probably found out the same thing. If you can’t block, you can’t be a running back in the NFL.

Great in the playoffs, but second best behind Cornish who was Canada’s Athlete of the Year in 2013.

This guy is a beast!! Singlehandedly beat my Ticats in the Grey Cup this year. I think he will be a good fit. It will be a big loss for Rider Nation that’s for sure!!

If you can’t block, you can’t be a running back in the CFL, either.

I went to high school with Kory in Manchester, CT. Dude is electric

Well he must have learned how to block in the CFL…his QB was #3 in the league in passing with 4,154 yards and #2 in pass attempts with 531….

They already have a running back that can’t block. Taiwan Jones is one of the fastest dudes out there. He’s surprised me on defense and I wish Jones the best. He was amazing to watch as an EWU Eagle. I actually root for the Raiders to do well every year, but they keep disappointing us all. I would love to see a tough Raider team play the Seahawks. That’d be fun.

Is that where that guys been? OTA’s right around the corner. … wide corner but….

Sheets would be a good sign.

If Reggie is raiding the CFL, he should seriously consider bring in Troy Smith to start for the Raiders with Pryor as the backup and use that 5th pick on the OL.

Wouldn’t it be better for everyone if the CFL picked up the Raiduhs?
