Giants kicker Josh Brown wants to stay in New York, and he’s getting the impression that could happen soon.
Brown told Jordan Rannan of NJ.com that there have been talks about extending his deal before he becomes a free agent.
“I absolutely would love to be back with the Giants. I conveyed that with them,” Brown said. “I was picking up that they were feeling the same exact way.”
Brown said he expects to talk to the Giants next week, after the Seahawks clear out of their facility.
“I’m not looking to make it rain here or anything. I have three children and a wife and I just want to support my family that way as long as I can in this league,” Brown said. “My exit meetings were great and I know they are doing evaluations and the things they need to do. I look forward to talking with them very soon.”
The 34-year-old Brown had a solid year for the Giants, after spending his first 10 years with the Seahawks, Rams and Bengals.
