LeSean McCoy prefers Darrelle Revis to Richard Sherman

Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman said this week that perceptions of a feud with Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis over which one was the best corner in football were fabricated by the media.

Those two might be getting along like peanut butter and jelly these days, but others are still batting around the question of which one is the best. During an appearance on SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio with Evan Cohen and Steve Phillips, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy said he liked Sherman but would prefer Revis on the Eagles.

“I would take Darrelle Revis, he’s better,” McCoy said. “If you watch Darrelle Revis’ tape, and you take Sherman, it’s not even close.”

McCoy explained that he thought Sherman would be “too much” in the locker room because he felt the Seahawks corner promoted himself a bit too much. It probably didn’t hurt that Revis shares an alma mater with McCoy either, although the fact that Eagles aren’t likely to be in position to acquire either player anytime soon makes it a fairly moot point.

That doesn’t mean we won’t be looking for someone to bring it up again next season when the Eagles host the Seahawks, though.
