Broncos still can’t get on the board

The Broncos were on the wrong side of three Super Bowl blowouts in the Dan Reeves era and it’s looking more like one this time around.

There’s a minute to go in the first half and the Broncos still haven’t scored. Their most recent drive started with near-disaster -- a fumble by kick returner Trindon Holliday was correctly overturned on a review by referee Terry McAulay -- and ended with a failure on fourth down.

From there, Peyton Manning hooked up with Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas for first downs to move the ball into Seattle territory, but an incompletion and a false start on guard Louis Vasquez halted the team’s momentum. The Broncos wound up with a fourth-and-two on the Seattle 19-yard line, but Manning fired short on a pass to Demaryius Thomas to end the drive.

That’s two promising drives in a row that didn’t end in points for Denver and the Seahawks have the ball to start the second half.

UPDATE 8:00 p.m. ET: The Seahawks ran out the final minute and took a 22-0 lead into the half.
