Richard Sherman is carted off

Richard Sherman AP

Everything has gone very well for the Seahawks tonight.  But there’s a caveat coming from an injury suffered by star cornerback Richard Sherman.

Sherman has been carted off with a right ankle injury suffered in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLVIII.

The severity of the injury isn’t known.  Sherman is officially doubtful to return.

He’ll have the full offseason to recover.  And he’ll be hoping to get a new contract from the team.  The team surely will want to know he’ll be 100 percent before making a major financial investment.

Brilliant game by Sherman and the entire Seattle defense, sorry to see him leave on the cart – I hope it isn’t serious. #GoHawks #LOB

Fox is so pissed… They may track him down in the locker room. Maybe Thomas will get some FaceTime with Fox.

What happened to all the morons who said Peyton was gonna own Sherman and shut his mouth? LMAO!

  7. dukeearl says: Feb 2, 2014 9:46 PM

Which is worse? Sherman’s rant, or that the first post in this thread is somebody cheering him being injured?
Hate him all you want, never ever wish or cheer harm on another person.

Trevor……..I’m no Seahawks fan but man, it’s heartless to celebrate another man’s injury. Remember, it’s his livelihood.

Tarvaris will get a Super Bowl ring. There is my silver lining.

I hope Sherman is just fine.

  18. blacknole08 says: Feb 2, 2014 9:59 PM

He wont win it, but Sherman was the MVP of the SB. He completely eliminated one half of the field and forced Manning to throw elsewhere.

    Very happy he is hurt

Something tells me that if you add up Trevor’s and his extended family’s SAT scores, the still aren’t getting into Stanford.

Something tells me that if you added up Trevor’s and his extended family’s SAT score , the have no chance of getting into Stanford. Haters gonna hate.

I don’t wish injuries on anybody but now I won’t have to hear so much from him after the game!

Don’t worry about an injury cuz he gets all the good drugs

Pathetic some of the reactions here, reminds me why I barely even go on this site anymore.

manning completed two or three on sherman. was looking for a compound fracture on his injury. unfortunately looks like he just gave up a reception and then maybe got rug burn.

Good Old Bradly Childress….. He sure knows QB’s! He groomed Tarvaris Jackson into the guy that holds the clipboard and makes airplane runway signals… And Tarvaris got the last laugh!

    Jackson- 1 Ring
    Childress- 0!

Cretins. How low of people to celebrate an injury. I don’t like the guy, his coach or his team but I’m not about to wish harm on him or anyone else.

I certainly didn’t want see Sherman get hurt….. but a case of laryngitis would be OK.

yeah I’m sure shermans standford education was legitimate. he got no special treatment and he sure did take a real tough major. The guy is an idiot. How do you not see it. Listen to his press conferences at super bowl media day. He is not intelligent. Most of this nation graduated college yet is still too stupid to understand how the federal reserve creates money out of thin air. Don’t talk about how college education means anything. It is iindoctrination.

    PS – I got a 29 on the ACT

Thankfully, no Adderall rant from him, but heal quick young man. Develop some lockjaw now that everyone knows who you are.

No he didn’t. He completed ONE on a square in. One was in zone, and the other just happened to be in the vicinity, and Sherman wasn’t even covering Welker. Please.

    Karma… guys a douche bag.

  35. omeimontis says: Feb 3, 2014 1:10 AM

He is so good, the Seahawks should give him a 7 year contract worth 100 million dollars or more.

  36. onbucky96 says: Feb 3, 2014 6:58 AM

Don’t worry about the Beats by Dre pitchman. He’ll take some drugs by accident, then blame it on another teammate. Like the last time. Seriously, who takes a drink of another dude water/Gatorade while working out.

  37. srgpsycho says: Feb 3, 2014 9:48 AM

Seahawks have some testy contract situations to be addressed. The key for Seattle to stay as they are is how many on this current roster wants to play for peanuts otherwise you’ll see a different team in 2014. Nice win yesterday. As stated : Savor the flavor as everyone’s looking to have foul for dinner in 2014, Should be a interesting off season for the NFL West.

  38. wisconsinhillfolk says: Feb 3, 2014 11:00 AM

Trevor’s family has no idea what a “sat” score is. They think it’s a chair evaluation.

  39. beastmode5150 says: Feb 3, 2014 12:19 PM

He was really torched in that game, right Kapernick? I don’t think they completed one pass on him.
