Slight possibility of precipitation forecast for playing of Super Bowl


There remains a marginal chance for precipitation during the playing of Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium, according to one major weather forecaster. projects a 10-15 percent chance of rain around kickoff at 6:30 p.m. in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where the Broncos and Seahawks will meet for the Super Bowl title in the home of the Jets and the Giants.

Also, a 20 percent chance of rain is forecast from 8 p.m. through 11 p.m.

Gametime temperature is projected to be in the low-mid 40s and will dip into the high 30s. Also, winds of 4-6 mph are anticipated, as are overcast skies.

    it would be great if a squall line went thru very slowly winds of 50+ and torrential rain, then we’ll see how good the packers are.

    Dang, the media will be so disappointed that the sky did not fall on this game. A lot of them will probably have to be on suicide watch after all their dire predictions.
