The Cardinals have reportedly added a wide receiver to their roster.

According to Howard Balzer of The Sports Xchange, the Cardinals have signed former Winona State wide receiver Tyler Speer.

The 25-year-old Speer caught 52 passes for 806 yards and seven touchdowns for Winona State in 2012. He was listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds in college.

Speer’s addition would give the Cardinals 10 wide receivers on the roster, including Andre Roberts, who is slated to be an unrestricted free agent.

You may not have heard a lot about Tyler, but I bet he holds a few Winona State records.

That’s great that they signed another wide receiver, to their pool of receivers. But if the Cardinals want to compete with Seahawks and 49ers they to draft a Wilson, or Kaepernick that can run or throw the football.

I played high school football and basketball with this guy. Great character and great athlete. Can’t wait to celebrate with him!
