According to Tammy Nunez of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Saints hired Tulane quarterbacks coach Mike Neu for the same job.

He’ll replace Joe Lombardi, who left to become the Lions offensive coordinator.

Neu has worked with the Saints before as a college scout,

The ties between the Saints and the local college program are numerous, as former Saints receivers coach Curtis Johnson is the head coach there, and Neu coached Saints third-stringer Ryan Griffin.

He also coached the New Orleans VooDoo of the Arena League, which was owned by Saints owner Tom Benson at the time.
