Former Lions running backs coach Sam Gash is staying in the NFC North.

According to CoachingSearch.com, the Packers are hiring Gash to the same position.

Gash was the Lions’ running backs coach from 2008 through 2013.

Via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers are shifting former running backs coach Alex Van Pelt to quarterbacks coach. The Packers’ former quarterbacks coach, Ben McAdoo, is now the Giants’ offensive coordinator.

The 44-year-old Gash played 12 NFL seasons at fullback, with stints with New England, Buffalo and Baltimore.
