Spygate videographer’s Super Bowl ring goes for nearly $16,000

A week after the Seahawks won the right to make a bunch of Super Bowl rings, more than a few past Super Bowl rings have been sold via auction.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the stripped-down Zirconia ring issued to Patriots Spygate videographer Matt Estrella went for $15,810. Real rings brought in much more.

The Super Bowl XXXV ring issued to former Ravens linebacker Jamie Sharper went for $36,883. Former Ravens running back Damien Berry’s Super Bowl XLVII ring went for $43,008.

Berry had denied putting the ring up for sale, until Goldin Auctions produced a sales agreement signed by Berry. Which prompted Berry to abandon his position.

The rings were part of a winter auction that generated $2.3 million, including $162,267 for a 1955 Jackie Robinson bat.
