A former NFL offensive lineman has joined the Vikings’ coaching staff.

The Vikings announced the hiring of former Eagles, Browns and Rams center Hank Fraley as assistant offensive line coach on Monday.

Fraley played 11 NFL seasons and started 123 games. He had stints with the Eagles (2000-2005), Browns (2006-2009) and Rams (2010). The 36-year-old Fraley was offensive line coach at San Jose State in 2013.

In Minnesota, Fraley will work with offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, who was the Browns’ line coach (and later offensive coordinator) in 2006, Fraley’s first season with Cleveland.

Good luck to the guy! His job will be similar to re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Just keep the Vikings posts coming! This isn’t the most interesting article but it’s one of the best I’ve read on PFT all day because it’s Vikings related.

Blue collar guy in Philly. Wasn’t flashy, but did everything right, and was great at line calling. It’d be nice to see him do well.

First thing Hank needs to do is slap Phil Loadholt upside the head.

Maybe he can help that notable draft bust at left tackle.

He just became the best OL assistant coach in the history of the game.

Cordarrelle Rice and Kyle Sharpe as weapons and Christian Montana @ QB there is no stopping Minny now… especially behind that OL.

    New blood. love it.
meanwhile, the stale ol’ farts east of the Mississippi are pouring water on the defensive players hands; all the while hoping to grow some knuckles.
