The Buccaneers have added a reserve cornerback with experience in Lovie Smith’s defense.

The club announced the signing of former Bears and Panthers cornerback D.J. Moore on Friday. The 26-year-old Moore was a fourth-round pick of Chicago in 2009 and played four seasons under Smith, intercepting 10 passes in 45 regular-season games.

Moore (5-9, 190) played two games for Carolina in 2013, notching five tackles.

The Bucs also disclosed the signing of tight end Steve Maneri (6-7, 280). The 25-year-old Maneri appeared in four regular-season games for Chicago in 2013. His most productive season came in 2012, when he caught five passes for 51 yards in 13 games (eight starts) for Kansas City.

    I have a feeling the Bucs might be a bit more competitive within their own division, but that’d be about it…

    Bucs are a joke. The packers are the only team worth giving a gosh darn! Here in WI, football comes first! And we have the championships to prove it. Football comes before hygiene, education, and manners.

    DJ Moore is actually a very legitimate slot CB. I don’t know why he’s gotten the raw end of the deal the last couple of years.

    You should see him dunk!

    Why they even make the Pack play the games is beyond me! Just give us the Lombardi! It’s named after our franchise. That’s just one of the reasons why I and the rest of the WI fan base are better at life than you. HAHAHAHAHA. You pathetic losers.

    @gbbuttpacker then why did it take a whole week to sell out a home playoff game. Majority of packer fans can’t name more than 5 players on the team.

    Screw the packers

    @GBpackbacker :

    WI sucks, your woman are fat and it is a terrible place to live compared to Tampa. Your QB is the only thing you have and he is a little Michael Sam anyways. You wish you could live in Tampa and have a team like the Bucs, but you cant because you suck like your state and your football teams. Kinda like the Badgers who suck as well. Go Gators and Go Bucs! Also, the super bowl trophy is not named after your franchise its name after your coach who if he met you in person he would whoop your pathetic a$$ LOSER!!

    Nice to see Lovie rounding up all those blockbuster personnel moves he made in Chicago. DJ Moore was decent at best, he was the lucky recipient of a lot of tipped passes.

    Bears 2.0?

    Dj Moore is a good player and as a Bears fan I was sorry to see him go.

    Maneri OTOH is straight garbage… a white Kellen Davis. Was replaced in the Bears lineup by a 3rd OT if that tells you anything.

    Just a teaser until March 11th. Then lets see some veterans join the team!
