Stephen Ross statement asks for time to review report

Like the rest of us, the Dolphins apparently need a second to digest the 144-page report from NFL investigator Ted Wells.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has put out a statement, effectively asking for a moment before they do anything else.

“We have just received the report from Ted Wells and will review it in detail before responding relative to the findings,” Ross said. “When we asked the NFL to conduct this independent review, we felt it was important to take a step back and thoroughly research these serious allegations.

“As an organization, we are committed to a culture of team-first accountability and respect for one another.“

Of course, the header for section 13 of the report — “Coach Philbin and the Front Office Did Not Know About the Harassment” — doesn’t exactly speak to that commitment.

  1. Nowhere in that 144 page does it not make Philbin look like an oblivious dope for not knowing what’s going on his locker room. For that alone he should be fired……..and if he did know and didn’t do anything to stop it, that’s even worse.

Lucky for him though, the only bigger dope is the guy who owns the team.

Look at the Seahawks and look at the Dolphins right now. Feels like another 40 years until a Lombardi Trophy, eh??????

  2. Another coach that didn’t know what was going on in his locker room. C’mon man. He shouldn’t be a coach. I think it almost cost Rex his job but he didn’t have that type of bs goin on.

  3. Stephen Ross you are a smart man for asking time to read the report. Man that was a good move because it allows to create a response. I am sure the Browns are thrilled this report has come out which makes me think they are genius to make their moves before the report leaked.
