Former Bears wide receiver David Terrell has been acquitted of a felony charge of manufacturing cannabis with an intent to deliver and a misdemeanor charge of police battery, the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.
Terrell was arrested on the charges in August 2013. He was found not guilty on Friday after a bench trial.
“I felt like I got my life back a little bit,’’ Terrell told the Tribune of the verdict.
Terrell, 34, was the Bears’ first-round pick in 2001. He played five NFL seasons, catching 128 passes for 1,602 yards and 10 touchdowns.
