Falcons dump Garrett Reynolds

With Gabe Carimi in on the offensive line for the Falcons, Falcons offensive lineman Garrett Reynolds is out.

Reynolds’ agent, Chad Speck, announced on Twitter that Reynolds have been informed he’ll be released.  A fifth-round pick of the Falcons in 2009, Reynolds (the nephew of former NFL linebacker Hacksaw Reynolds) signed a two-year, $2.587 million contract in 2013.

The move creates more than $1.3 million in cap space for the Falcons.  Reynolds appeared in 15 games with a career-high 10 starts in 2013.

My god this guy was hideous last year. Matt Ryan should sue him. Open and shut case.

Dudes got the size and attitude to be a stud in the NFL, just couldn’t master his technique.

Thanks for the years of service. Good luck on your future endeavors.

You can’t be any worse than we’ve got in front of Andrew Luck.
    Head north to Indy.

    Interesting.

A 10 game starter that is not worth 1.3 million and been with the team for awhile.

There is something missing to the story.

    Not interesting.

He played well enough at RG starting in 2012 bookended by two veterans, but joined with 2nd year players in 2013 he stunk like he did back in 2011. He’s had enough time to develop but if you sukk you only have so many chances.

There is nothing missing to this story, just another bad draft pick by this regime that resulted in a terrible 2013.

They’re just clearing house. He hasn’t played well when he started and he’s had a couple chances.

Nothing missing. He started ten games on one of the worst lines in the history of football…at any level. Being a starter on that line, and four bucks, will get you a latte at Starbucks.
