The Titans are hoping to re-sign a pair of their defensive starters from a season ago.
According to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean, the Titans are talking to prospective free agent strong safety Bernard Pollard about a return to Tennessee in 2014.
Pollard, 29, notched 99 tackles and intercepted three passes for the Titans in 2013. He spent the previous two seasons with Baltimore.
Wyatt also reports the club is “interested” in bringing back 28-year-old defensive end Ropati Pitoitua, who started 13 games for Tennessee in 2013. Pitoitua (6-8, 298) is entering his fifth NFL season. Like Pollard, he can test free agency if unsigned on March 11.
