Bruce Arians thinks Carson Palmer has a little left

While there are plenty of teams at the Scouting Combine looking for quarterback help, the Cardinals aren’t necessarily among them.

At least not immediate help.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he still has confidence that Carson Palmer has some time left.

There is no doubt he has plenty of juice left in the tank,” Arians told Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic. He’s in great condition. I would think he could play until 36, 37 easily.”

That sounds like more of an endorsement than it actually is, since Palmer turns 35 this season.

The Cardinals also have a backup they trust in Drew Stanton (Arians said he thought they could win the division with him), though General Manager Steve Keim believes in acquiring young quarterbacks as often as possible.

So the Cardinals could be looking for someone to put in the pipeline, since Palmer’s contract can void five days after the 2014 season.

And even if the tank’s not empty, they’re creeping up on the slash between the needle and the E.
