Bears bring back Kelvin Hayden

Cross another potential free agent off the list in Chicago.

After bringing back guard Roberto Garza and tight end Dante Rosario, the Bears have announced a one-year deal with cornerback Kelvin Hayden.

A second-round pick of the Colts in 2005, Hayden joined the Bears in 2012 and quickly became the nickel cornerback. He appeared in 16 games, with two starts. After tearing a hamstring during training camp, Hayden spent all of the 2013 season on injured reserve.

The Bears’ remaining free agents include cornerback Charles Tillman, receiver Devin Hester, quarterback Josh McCown, defensive tackle Henry Melton, defensive tackle Jay Ratliff, and defensive tackle Corey Wootton.
