Former Lions safety Louis Delmas has seen a fair amount of interest around the league since he was released by Detroit and he followed up with one interested party on Friday.
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that Delmas visited with the Dolphins on Friday. The visit comes a day after Delmas was in New Orleans to talk to the Saints.
The Dolphins could lose safety Chris Clemons as a free agent, which would leave a hole in the secondary as Clemons has started the last 32 games for Miami. If Delmas did land with the Dolphins, he’d likely slot in next to Reshad Jones when the 2014 season gets underway.
Delmas has also visited with the Steelers and there’s believed to be interest from the Lions in a return if it comes at the right price.
