Giants will not tender RFA fullback Henry Hynoski

The Giants will not tender fullback Henry Hynoski a contract in restricted free agency, a league source told PFT’s Mike Florio on Monday.

However, that doesn’t necessarily close the book on Hynoski’s time in New York. The Giants would like to re-sign Hynoski, but at a lower rate than an RFA tender, PFT has learned.

The 25-year-old Hynoski suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the Giants’ Sept. 22 loss to Carolina. He has appeared in 30 NFL regular season games with New York, rushing five times for 20 yards and catching 24 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown.

FB, John Conner was signed to a two year deal, when Hyno went down, and no one noticed back then.
So for Henry, he’s going to stay put but at a lower number and more likely a one year deal.

Fullback is a dying position in the NFL. I like the kid, but I have no problem with connor either. With McAdoo coming in, I think the position will be less featured than it ever was for the Giants.

Giants RB situation is a complete mess.

Some team that uses fullbacks more will offer more than the Giants will. Maybe a team that is changing scheme and needs one like the Lions.

Bring in Gerhart to compliment Wilson. Low mileage on Toby due to AP and wont crush the cap.

Not saying Henry’s the same caliber, but arwiv…ever hear of John Kuhn?? That system certainly uses a fullback heavily

My dog could beat those stats and he’d do it for free.

Hynoski is basically a young version of John Kuhn, wouldn’t be surprised if GB made him an offer this month since Kuhn is a UFA.
