Thursday morning one-liners

Last year’s sparsely attended game against the Falcons was the last straw for the Bills in Toronto.

The Dolphins figure to be active in the LT market early in free agency.

The future of Patriots free agent WR Julian Edelman could have a domino effect.

Among other spots, the Jets need to target a TE in free agency.

The Ravens have cap space to spend, but can they compete for LT Eugene Monroe on the open market?

The Bengals have enough options at TE it’s probably not a priority in free agency.

With plenty of quality starters available, the Browns could find a good fit at S in free agency.

In cutting CB Curtis Brown and LT Levi Brown, the Steelers got rid of a pair of guys who combined to play one snap last year.

A Texans cheerleader is going to the prom, thanks to the power of social media.

The Colts appear ready to move on from veteran LB Pat Angerer.

The Jaguars are more likely to look for LB help in the draft.

Titans RB Chris Johnson still hasn’t been cleared to run after surgery to repair a torn meniscus.

Finding some pass-rush help still looks like a priority for the Broncos.

The Chiefs don’t figure to be big spenders in free agency.

The Raiders tendered contracts to their six exclusive rights free agents (who were never really free agents in any respect of the words).

Chargers LB Donald Butler’s contract creates some interesting decisions down the road.

As the Cowboys try to keep the current team together, they have future free agent decisions to consider as well.

The Giants are talking to free agent LB Jameel McClain, even though they still want to bring back Jon Beason.

Not everyone in Philadelphia is buying that Eagles WR DeSean Jackson might not be secure.

Former Redskins DE Adam Carriker is focused on his return from injury, even if it won’t be in Washington (and who doesn’t need a high-Carriker guy in the locker room).

Bears CB Charles Tillman still isn’t sweating his pending free agency.

Former boss thinks Lions coach Jim Caldwell will be good for QB Matthew Stafford.

The trial of a man accused of punching a Packers fan while wearing a purple sombrero has started (I’m only guessing that Judge Judy is presiding).

The Vikings are keeping RB Matt Asiata around another year.

The Falcons have the cap room to pursue to a top-end S free agent.

Panthers G.M. Dave Gettleman will be getting the last word in the WR Steve Smith situation.

A look at how the Saints could benefit from TE Jimmy Graham getting an offer elsewhere.

The Buccaneers are an obvious potential destination for free agent return man Devin Hester.

The Cardinals situation with LB Karlos Dansby is at least earning them some sympathy.

The Rams extended tender offers to three of their exclusive rights free agents.

The 49ers appear to be interested in Texas A&M WR Mike Evans (as are many other teams).

A look at the potential market for reinstated Seahawks CB Brandon Browner.

The rebuilding Bills, versus the fallen apart Falcons. Wow, how could the Canadians have passed up a chance to see a match-up of that magnitude? Actually, I don’t think that they would have sold many seats if they played it in Barbados, under sunny skies.

What Mr. Wilson and the league have to understand, is that the people of metro Toronto, do not think of the team from Buffalo, as being their own. As such, they’ll have to compete with many other interests for the dollars of the Canadian citizenry.
