Santana Moss back to Redskins on one-year deal

The Redskins have been linked with several free agent receivers from other teams, but they were able to keep one of their own wideouts from leaving the team.

PFT has learned via a league source that veteran receiver Santana Moss will return to the team on a one-year deal.

Moss has spent the last nine years with the Redskins after starting his career with the Jets, but has seen his role decrease over the years. He had 42 catches for 452 yards and two touchdowns. It was the third year in a row that Moss had 46 catches or less and his average of 10.8 yards per catch was the lowest of his career.

No terms were immediately available and it’s not clear how this will impact the Redskins’ reported agreement with Andre Roberts or their reported interest in Andrew Hawkins and Kenny Britt.

Good glad he’s back was worried with the signing of Andre Roberts.. He still a good rotational receiver.. And he’s the veteran leader we need and can also mentor the younger guys. Good move!

Can you say league minimum and a guy that’s been working out with RG3? Still better than any WR they’ve drafted in a long, long time.

every 5th catch he fumbles. and if the game is close late, its every 3rd catch. but on the slip side……he sure spins a mean football on each first down catch.

He only needs to be out there for 3rd downs. He’s good at that still.
