The Schwartz is with the Giants, as they sign Geoff

The Giants had to have some fresh faces for their offensive line, and moved quickly to add a versatile blocker.

According to Kim Jones of the NFL Network, the Giants have agreed to terms with Chiefs guard Geoff Schwartz, and the deal could be signed as soon as tomorrow.

Schwartz can also play tackle, and has overcome hip problems which ended his stint with the Panthers to play out one-year deals with the Vikings and the Chiefs. He tweeted earlier today he anticipated some more stability this time through.

With the retirement of David Diehl and the release of David Baas, the Giants needed to add some toughness up front, and they did so.

I see that logical finally came out from underneath that rock called Washington stinks rock. It is funny he was crying the NFL is fixed but yet he still keeps coming back. Enjoy another season in last.

KC has lost 5 solid UFA’s within the first hour of free agency. Wish the comp picks came this year instead of having to wait until next.

I’m with ya there. This is the one player I hated the Chiefs losing. I care about the other trash that left, but Schwartz is a beast, and will be missed.

I was bummed when the Vikes didn’t resign him last year… underrated when used correctly, great pickup for the Giants.

I love this. If we can draft (or sign) a tackle, this offense might just get back on track.

Never under-estimate the power of the schwartz.

This is the biggest signing in the NFC East thus far. This, plus Jennings, plus Hillis… The message here is pass protection first.

When Eli has his best year ever, I hope all of you cry to your mommys.
