Sharper charged with sexual assault in Arizona

Sharper Rape Charges AP

If, as it appears, former NFL safety and NFL Media employee Darren Sharper will be spending plenty of time behind bars, those potential sentences could be served in various different states.

According to the New Orleans Advocate, Sharper has been indicted in Arizona on two counts of sexual assault and three counts of administering dangerous drugs.  A grand jury issued the indictments on Tuesday.

Sharper also has been charged in California with two counts of rape, and authorities in Louisiana have accused him of two more counts of rape.

Other allegations have been made in Las Vegas and Miami.  All cases arise from the claim that Sharper provided victims with drugged shots of alcoholic beverages and, in many cases, then had sex with them after they were passed out.

Lowest of the low lifes. Prison is going to have a lot of karmic retribution to hand out.

Whatever he gets in prison will only be a fraction of what he deserves if he’s guilty.

it’s so pathetic seeing posts like “see what happens when you wear purple”

it’s like favre all over again. packer fans seem to block out those many many years sharper was a packer. just like they did with favre during the sterger scandal. i’m obviously not comparing what sharper did to what favre did but man, enough already packer fans.

  34. idolized1 says: Mar 12, 2014 3:14 PM

I wonder if he even bothered asking/hitting on these women first like the rest of us would do?

You would think being an NFL stud, in fairly good shape, and rich would be enough for him to get his foot in the door, but it sounds like he just skipped all the formalities and went straight for the prize.

Dude has no game, only shame. Can’t imagine it would have been that hard to reach the promised land for him, but like they say – You can’t fix stupid.

  35. dioxinblues says: Mar 12, 2014 3:16 PM

One should be presumed innocent but there really does come a point where the preponderance of evidence and accusation over such a diverse group of people is too much to believe anything other than this guy is a horrible human. And destined for a future on the Investigation Discovery Network — as the subject.

How about each state charge him and then rescind the charge when it’s proved that he is innocent…

    Cut down bureaucracy.

  40. mjmistretta says: Mar 12, 2014 3:46 PM

There better be more then just hear say, and real proof to support these charges.

  41. minnesoulja says: Mar 12, 2014 3:50 PM

After M.d jennings departure & sharpers new lawsuit, the packers are hurting for a decent safety. the decline is inevitable…can you smell it…burnt cheese.

    Vikings turned him into this.
Just wait till Adrian Peterson retires.
They seriously need to watch all Viking players.

    Raiders all day, you chumps.

  47. purpleprideinps says: Mar 12, 2014 4:18 PM

Anyone that had to move to dreary Green Bay and spend everyday looking at the obesely unattractive women that inhabit that hole would develop some sexual deviancy issues. I feel for the NFL players that end up there. Chmura, Favre, Sharper and numerous other players have dealt with issues after spending time with the Packers. We should be more understanding that it was bound to happen to these poor young men. Most of us would have similar problems if we were forced to endure time living there.

  51. duece5 says: Mar 12, 2014 9:10 PM

    Well,

He started off in gbay on the wrong foot, got right in Minny, then Bountygate karma raised its ugly head.

Too bad, but there seems to be a pattern there in gbay….see Chmura.
