Steelers reach deep for three-year deal for Cody Wallace

Maybe the Steelers were impressed by Cody Wallace’s willingness to do whatever it takes to win last year.

Whatever the reason, they have rewarded him for it.

The Steelers announced they had kept Wallace with a three-year deal Tuesday.

A backup interior lineman, Wallace came into the league as a fourth-round pick of the 49ers, and has also spent time with the Lions, Jets, Texans and Buccaneers.

Now, he can put down roots. Hopefully not too deeply, however.

Wallace played very well late last season for the Steelers (when the OL was clicking).

The title was hilarious but the jokes in the article were too much.

Anyway, Wallace played great in the sitaution he was in. Pouncey will be back and Valesco is still rehabbing so Wallace is a great #2 C.

Seems like the Steelers prostrated in order to get this deal done.

Isn’t he too young to sign?

That joke is getting a little “old”.

Wallace was very solid when he got an opportunity late in the season. Plays with a mean streak, and is probably as good as the overrated Pouncey. Good to retain him.

    That’s Dr. Wallace to you!

The Steelers have let guys go. They have had players take pay cuts. All to pay that Turdburger QB. They will be happy to see Ben go. He is becoming dead weight.

Steelers may be better if they started to do things more like the Ravens.

It’s hilarious to me that people think the Steelers are in cap hell. We’re groovin’ on down the road folks.

Woodley is out the door and Clark is on the way. The notion that we hang on to guys too long has not rung true so far this year.

Hell, we even coughed up 25 mil for a free agent. WHAT??????

Why would they want to go backwards?
