After missing on Jacoby Jones, Giants want in on Ginn

The Giants were obviously interested in a receiver-return man, based on their quick visit with Jacoby Jones.

But with Jones turning their interest into leverage for a new four-year deal with the Ravens, the Giants have adjusted their sights.

According to Jordan Raanan of, the Giants now are turning their attention to Panthers wideout Ted Ginn Jr.

Ginn had a breakout season for the Panthers, with five offensive touchdowns along with good work on punt and kick returns.

Of course, there’s competition, as he’s already visited the Buccaneers, and former Ohio State teammate Donte Whitner is trying to bring him along to the Browns.

Heh, good luck with that. Dude has stones hands, and when we does catch the ball, he fumbles.

Would be a Raider by now if Al were still running the show.

Greg Little and Ted Ginn, Jr. on the same team? I’d love to see the line on the number of balls dropped by that team….LOL.

We are targetting him for return duties primarily, not a major WR role..

If you guys watched football, you’d know this.

I don’t know why they’re talking about drops, he’s improved and still can torch a team if they don’t jam on the line.

Why not try to trade up in the first round and get Sammy Watkins? I don’t know who would trade down with us, but he would be a MUCH cheaper option and be younger and be able to play for us for a while…

Ginn has mostly gotten over the drop issue. He didn’t catch everything Cam threw to him, but he got most of them. He also gave us a bunch of short fields with his returns. I have no earthly idea why DG has made no move to re-sign him.
