The Redskins are a set to host a former Pro Bowl cornerback on a free agent visit.

Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner is scheduled to meet with the Redskins on Thursday night, PFT’s Mike Florio reports.

The 6-foot-4, 221-pound Browner has started 36 regular season games in the last three seasons for Seattle, intercepting 10 passes. He played and started eight games for Seattle in 2013, but he was suspended for the final five games of the season under the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. He will miss the first four regular season games of 2014 and will be fined another four game checks to end the suspension, which was related to missed drug tests.

Still, Browner ranks as one of the better cornerbacks left in free agency, and he would give Washington a bigger corner to match up with tall and physical receivers such as the Cowboys’ Dez Bryant.
