Giants hang onto Henry Hynoski after Lions look

Henry Hynoski AP

After he looked around, Henry Hynoski found some middle ground with the Giants.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hynoski has agreed to return to the Giants on a one-year deal worth $1 million.

The Giants declined to tender him an offer as a restricted free agent, which would have cost them $1.431 million.

He then took a visit to Detroit, but ultimately chose to come back.

With running back Rashad Jennings coming on board, along with the returning Peyton Hillis and a significant investment in free agent guard Geoff Schwartz, the Giants have committed some resources to the running game.

It would have been dangerous to introduce a hynocerus into a lion’s den, anyway.

Why are they bothering with these little depth moves (a center who hasn’t played in a year a second FB) when half their starting D-Line is now gone.

Wow tell me we didn’t make a big splash in free agency like last year again!! #OnePride 2014 Superbowl contenders for sure. . !

You have to start somewhere! the Giants has more needs then just the O-line. I think there doing well. And not braking the bank at the same time. Free angency is not over yet. And the Giants need to build for the long term. Not taking too many chances old vets that can only give them a year or two!

The lions are smart, they are not just looking at what Russell Wilson and the lame azz seasqawks just did to win a Super Bowl. They are looking at what overall win Super Bowls. Wasn’t Ray Rice on the previous Super Bowl champs team? The number 1 rated RB in the game. So of course they are gonna continue to build every thing instead of what you think they should do. You are not there. Period. So there for you don’t know wats really goin on. They have continued to build there D.. Isn’t your fav team scared to play us? Lol… I know.. I know. Just keep this in mind, befor we were a door mat, now were a house hold name… But for a good reason.

Half our d is not gone. Linval is gone and Tuck is FA and as yet unsigned, he has only met with the Raiders, I would accept ten million less than play for the Raiders. Most Giants FAs are not signed, Webster, Thomas, Nicks, Brown, Tuck, Ross.

I lost track of him last year. G-men are not my team but HH is a local N.E.Pa. product. We wish him well.

Typical Giant dumba** move. They already have a superior fullback on the roster. Why make this signing? In Reese we trust my a**. A center that stunk two years ago when he did play. 4 million for a backup LB that couldn’t pass his physical. WTF is going on this spring. This is easily the worst team in the east if not the NFC!
