Bills bring Brandon Spikes in for a visit

Some things just make too much sense to not work out.

As we mentioned this morning with the news that Kiko Alonso was moving to outside linebacker, Patriots free agent Brandon Spikes seemed like a natural fit to play the vacated middle.

Now, Spikes is in the building.

According to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News, Spikes and running back Anthony Dixon are visiting the Bills today.

Spikes seems to be more of the kind of linebacker they want in the middle, a bigger player more suited to play the run. He also has the benefit of divisional familiarity, and a little motivation after the Patriots let him walk into free agency.
