Terrell Thomas visiting Raiders

The Oakland Raiders already plucked one former member of the New York Giants by signing defensive end Justin Tuck on Thursday. The Raiders are also kicking the tires on another former Giant.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Raiders are hosting cornerback Terrell Thomas for a visit.

Thomas appeared in all 16 games for the Giants last season, making seven starts. Thomas recorded 67 tackles with a sack, a forced fumble and one interception on the year.

It was a strong bounce-back year for Thomas after missing the prior two season due to a pair of ACL injuries to his right knee. Prior to the injuries, Thomas posted his best season in 2010 with 101 tackles, five interceptions and four forced fumbles. Overcoming two ACL tears to the same knee is a daunting task and Thomas played well in his first season back.

The Raiders are in need of help at cornerback and Thomas could end up joining Tuck on the west coast.

Watch him be signed by tomorrow morning. Along with Donald Penn, Brandon Pettigrew and Antoine Smith.

Not bad if we can team him up w/ DRC… Then were talking!

He’s welcome to sign… but #24 is reserved for Charles Woodson on that team.

Great guy and a good player. If not for his knee injuries he would have been a pro bowl corner. I wish him luck wherever he goes.

A lucrative deal with the Raiders when your career is just about over is part of the retirement package the Giants offer.

That certainly explains the McBride re-signing… Giants think they could lose TT to a money-dangling. Corey Webster is at the end of his ride, Aaron Ross can’t stay on the field, and I don’t know if Hosley is ready to start.

He’s a great player to have on your team because of his ability to be a game-time performer and also his heart.

His outlook has never changed since tearing his knee in back-to-back seasons but remained a calming presence for younger players, especially Prince Amakumara.

I want him to return to the New York Giants but wish him the best with whomever he signs with.

    Nice pickup, Reggie.

Not much left out there to go after, so if we can get him at a decent price it’s a good pickup. I sure wish we could stay away from guys with blown out knees though. We dealt with enough injuries last year to last 10 seasons.

Not too many NFL players haven’t had some type of injury. You guys hate on everyone!

T2 is a Big time baller that has a lot in the tank and to prove. Followed him at USC and he was a team leader that just made play after play. He would be a HUGE pick up for Raider nation. Hope Reggie pulls the trigger and bring in a guy that has a lot to prove and will be a shut gown physical player. Just watch Raider nation ..Fight on Terrell Thomas
