Well-traveled Richard Marshall stays put in San Diego

Dez Bryant, Richard Marshall AP

Richard Marshall spent 2010 in Carolina, 2011 in Arizona, 2012 in Miami and 2013 in San Diego. Now he’s finally going to stay put.

Marshall has re-signed with the Chargers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The 29-year-old Marshall played in all 16 games for the Chargers last year, starting six at cornerback. The Chargers’ pass defense was a mess last year, but they believe Marshall provides some veteran depth in the secondary.

This is the second cornerback signing in the last 24 hours for the Chargers; they signed Brandon Ghee away from the Bengals on Thursday.

Love the picture… Can’t hurt though to have too much secondary depth, especially after Marshall played better in the second half of the season. Good move by the chargers.

It’s time to put something that empty trophy case, no sense wasting space.

    Choo choo!

Honestly, it’s good to be optimistic raiders fan. But take it from me, a hardcore Ravens fan. This guy isn’t curable. He’s flat out bad. Don’t you think we’d be retaining him if he was decent. We have the cap space. It’s a mental issue when you false start in 15% of your snaps. So if you want him, we wish you luck just get used to this.

    False start, offence. Number 74

Marshall provides great depth, but the Chargers still need to add a top corner either through the draft or free agency….still a good signing tho… if the price was right.

“the chokers pass defense was a mess last year,” so of course the chokers want to keep that kind of inept player on the roster. No sense trying to win anything now, is there losers?
