Bills add Anthony Dixon

Dixon

The Bills not only have a new linebacker. They also have a new running back and special-teams contributor.

Anthony Dixon, formerly of the 49ers, has signed with Buffalo. The team announced the deal on Saturday.

A sixth-round pick in 2010, Dixon has appeared in all 72 games of his regular-season and postseason career in San Francisco. His first -- and only -- start came in the 2013 NFC title game. Filling in for Will Tukuafu at fullback, Dixon’s one-yard touchdown dive helped push the 49ers to a 10-0 lead in the game.

Dixon has gained 458 rushing yards for his career in the regular-season, with eight regular-season touchdowns. He becomes the fifth running back on the roster for now, joining C.J. Spiller, Fred Jackson, Anthony Allen, and Ronnie Wingo.
