Ike Taylor sets aside ego to continue his career in Pittsburgh

So what allowed Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor to take a steep pay cut from $7 million to $2.75 million in 2014?

Apart from hoping to stay with the Steelers, Taylor chose not to succumb to the dynamic that has prompted many players to decline to take less: Pride.

Taylor explained during a Friday visit to PFT Live that he didn’t let ego get in the way of extending to 12 years a career in Pittsburgh that has entailed a couple of Super Bowl rings and another Super Bowl appearance.
