Usama Young stays with the Raiders

The Raiders have interrupted their ongoing collection of free agents from other teams to keep one of their own.

Via the Associated Press, safety Usama Young has agreed to terms on a two-year deal.  His agent, Andy Simms, announced the deal on Twitter.

Young, who’ll turn 29 on May 8, appeared in 12 games with one start in 2013, his first season with the Raiders.  He was placed on injured reserve in December with a neck injury.

Young started his career in New Orleans.  After four years with the Saints, he spent two with the Browns.  Young has 26 career regular-season starts and eight career interceptions.

Good job Reggie, keep it up. It’s called depth morons. Don’t forget that free agency goes throughout the whole offseason and not just the first week. Sit back and quit complaining!

Well, Usama won his Superbowl ring three years into his career. Guess he is satisfied with the low expectations that come with playing for a perennial loser. Some people are less ambitious than others, I guess.

Underrated player, wouldnt mind him starting at FS. Good Resign.

Young’s a very good backup. It adds depth to the secondary. You know, not every player you sign has to be a super star.

So there’s this terrible Star Wars knock off called Starcrash starring David Hasselhoff. I know right? You gotta be drinking to watch it, but even after crushing a case of beer you get to this final battle scene and they’re like ‘Oh, our only hope is to attack them from the 4th dimension.’ So you’re like thinking there’s going to be this crazy attack that defies the laws of physics or something right? Wrong. An attack from the 4th dimension means taking your floating space city and hitting full throttle to ram it into your enemy. Seriously? Now you gotta drink another case just to forget you spent two hours watching that crap.

Fans of teams who don’t win are usually satisfied and happy over the drafting and signing of DEPTH…

I know trust me, I’m a dolphins fan

Reggie signs a player who started 1 game and some Raider fans applaud Reggie Mckenzie thinking this is an accomplishment LOL. The R Mckenzie trainwreck still going full steam ahead!

As a Chargers fan, I can’t help but snicker at every single PFT post with a Raiders tag.

It’s almost like the Raiders FO lives in a completely different dimension from the other 31 teams in the league.

And as a Raiders fan natelan69, I will be highly entertained if and when the Chargers ever become relevant. Keep trolling!
