The Rams are currently the vacant chair in backup-quarterback-musical-chairs, but that might not last long.

According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams are hosting Lions free agent Shaun Hill Monday.

If signed, Hill would replace Kellen Clemens, who left to replace Charlie Whitehurst in San Diego after Whitehurst went to Tennessee to replace Ryan Fitzpatrick.

If there’s any irony left in the world, Fitzpatrick would be on a plane to Detroit right now.

Hill, 34, has spent the last four years with the Lions, after stints in Minnesota and San Francisco.
