The Cardinals haven’t heard back from Antonio Cromartie, so they’re making backup plans.

According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, cornerback Mike Jenkins is visiting the Cardinals today after his trip to Tampa Bay yesterday.

Jenkins is obviously a different caliber of player than Cromartie, which will be reflected in his price.

But if the Cardinals can’t get Cromartie, they’re going to need some depth there, which is where Jenkins fits in.

He might have fallen short of the expectations the Cowboys had when they drafted him in the first round, but he’s a serviceable player who could help a good team.

Even if he’s not their first choice.
