The Falcons are keeping their No. 1 pick from the 2009 draft.
The club has re-signed defensive lineman Peria Jerry, the NFL disclosed in its transactions on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Jerry has started 29 regular season games in five NFL seasons. He set career-highs in tackles (33) and sacks (3.5) in 2013 for Atlanta.
The Falcons are expected to employ more 3-4 looks this season. A defensive tackle in a 4-3 front, Jerry (6-2, 295) might have the skill set necessary to occupy blockers as a 3-4 end.
